For the third time in four years United are visiting the United States on their pre-season tour. They will then return to Europe for a game in Norway, followed by a trip to Dublin. The pre-season itinerary will be complete with the UEFA Super Cup game against Real Madrid in Skopje on Tuesday 8th August, a few days before the start of the domestic season.

Having won two trophies last season and qualified for the Champions League Jose Mourinho will be looking to build on that success and mount a serious challenge for the Premiership title this season and give a good account of themselves in that senior European competition after success in Europe last year. The pre-season schedule whilst offering a chance for fans around the globe to see their heroes will be viewed first and foremost by the manager and his staff as preparation for the challenges ahead.

United have strengthen so far with the addition of Victor Lindelof in defence and Romelu Lukaku in attack. Lukaku is actually already in the States and has joined up with his new teammates.

The interesting thing in pre-season always to see what tactical approach is adopted as new players are integrated and whether there are any suggestions of what we can expect in the season ahead. Fans are always keen ofcourse to see new signings in action.
